Calling all junior wildlife photographers! This summer, take part in Buglife Cymru’s photography competition and you could win some amazing prizes including the set of Beetle Boy books, a signed copy of M.G. Leonard’s new title ‘The Beetle Collector’s Handbook’, a bug home for your school grounds, a free years membership to Buglife and more!
Invertebrates include everything from snails and spiders, beetles and bees to worms and woodlouse, moths and millipedes. You’ll find them in many different places including your back garden, school grounds and local park.
How to enter: Please email digital photos to
[email protected], along with your name, age, town and school. Numerous photos can be sent in, however each individual email must not exceed 6MB.
Closing date: Friday 14th September 2018 and the winner and 3 runner up places will be announced on 5th October.
The competition is open to entrants between the ages of 7 – 11, and they should ask permission from a parent or guardian before entering.
The winning entries will be chosen by Buglife and MG Leonard, author of Beetle Boy. The winner and runners up will all receive a bee hotel for their school grounds, a framed copy of their photograph and 1 years free membership of Buglife. The 1st prize winner will also receive the Beetle Boy trilogy of books and a copy of the forthcoming new title ‘The Beetle Collector’s Handbook’.
