Scottish Invertebrate News aims to update everyone who is interested in invertebrate conservation in Scotland – from the interested amateur to the experienced expert. The newsletter includes articles on new initiatives, latest discoveries and updates on the progress of the Strategy for Scottish Invertebrates.
The articles have been written by a range of contributors from different organisations and with different specialisms, providing wide taxonomic coverage.
The springtail, Bourletiella viridescens provided the logo for the original publications. This species of invertebrate, known only from the Cairngorms in the UK, represented the spirit of the newsletter, which is exciting and vibrant, covering all invertebrates in Scotland – including those under-recorded groups that tend to receive little attention.
Scottish Invertebrate News was produced biannually from March 2010 to April 2015.
