Within her artistic practice Kim Gromoll aims to reconnect people with the natural world. Cocoon as an artwork offers the viewer a possibility to get a closer look on the tiny & fragile beings that run our planet. The collaboration with Buglife entails that for every purchased cocoon 10% will be donated in order to support their projects & campaigns and to contribute to a bigger cause that aids in protecting insects and their environment. (All insects of the cocoon series, died a natural death.)
We’ve teamed up with eco-fashion label Teemill and launched a collaborative invertebrate focussed fashion collection. The affordable range of T-shirts, sweats and hoodies are made from traceable organic materials in an ethically accredited, wind powered factory.
Urbee is a little urban bee with a vision to help and support the plight of bees and other pollinating insects. We aim to raise awareness by selling lovely products for people, homes & gardens. We will donate 10% of profits to Buglife which will help with their pollinator campaigns.
Wildflower Favours have developed a Buglife range of gift favours which generate money for Buglife.
Recycling for Buglife
You can donate all your broken and unwanted jewellery to raise money for Buglife.
If you have any gold, silver, odd earrings, broken chains, costume jewellery and watches, you can recycle them at no cost to you whilst making money for Buglife. We can recycle: • Any jewellery – gold, silver, costume jewellery, watches, broken and damaged items (like odd earrings, snapped chains or items with missing stones). • You can donate any unwanted banknotes from ANY country of any age, so all of those obsolete pre-euro notes are a perfect start!
Our partners at Recycling for Good Causes will reuse and recycle the jewellery and Banknotes, giving the proceeds to Buglife, saving precious raw materials at the same time.
If you would like to send your jewellery and banknote recycling to us, simply use your own envelope or jiffy bag (No bigger than A5 in size) and post free of charge by printing out the freepost label (see adjacent image) and attaching to your envelope.
*Please do not send coins or stamps to the freepost address as the postage costs will far outweigh your donation. *
Donate your Stamps You can now donate your used stamps to raise much needed funds for Buglife. All kinds of stamps are welcome, on or off paper. Simply cut or carefully rip the postage stamp from the used envelope, being careful that you don’t damage the stamp, and once you have a collection pop them in an envelope making sure you have the correct postage to:
Buglife PO Box 16992 Sutton Coldfield B73 9YA (*postage needs to be applied*)
Recycling for Good Causes will arrange collections for larger quantities of stamps weighing over 10kgs. This equates to about two buckets full of stamps. For further information: @ [email protected] T: 0800 633 5323
If you have more items than will fit into an A5 sized envelope for Buglife Then please call 0800 633 5323 or email [email protected] to find out more information on our polybag / sack recycling projects where you can recycle larger items.
