Join Buglife and Professor Jeff Ollerton to discuss flower function and pollinator behaviour!
To Be a Flower is an introduction to how flowers function and the ways in which their behaviour manipulates pollinators to ensure reproduction.
Winter Webinars with the Severn B-Lines Project
This talk is part of a series of talks from Dec 2021-Mar 2022 with the Severn B-Lines Project. With talks from guest speakers, you’ll learn how you can help pollinators over the colder months and how you can get involved with the Severn B-Lines Project.
To see what other talks we have coming up, check out our events page.
What is the Severn B-Lines Project?
The Severn B-lines project, funded by the Defra Green Recovery Fund, aims to address pollinator declines in Shropshire, by creating a beautiful network of flower-rich habitats that are good for people and pollinators alike. The project is part of the UK-wide B-lines network and will see existing wildflower-rich habitats linked up via the restoration of species-rich grassland.
Buglife are working with Shropshire Wildlife Trust to deliver 20 hectares of wildflower-rich habitat creation and restoration across Shropshire, from near Whitchurch down to Bridgnorth. We are working with local councils, community groups, private landowners and other organisations taking in farmland, gardens and amenity grassland. Together, we will create a network of wildflower habitat which benefits pollinators and people that live in, work in and visit the area.
More information on the Severn B-Lines Project can be found on our Severn B-Lines webpage.
