During this event we will explore the different pollinators that can be found at Deer Park, a stunning 60 acre calcareous grassland site on the outskirts of Selkirk.
We’ll start with a moth trap reveal where Lisa McLeish from Go Wild Scotland will introduce us to the moths caught overnight.
Charlotte Rankin from Buglife will then lead us on a guided pollinator walk around the site, helping us get up close to some of natures most important creatures. The session will end with some guidance on how to carry out your own pollinator counts.
Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
We will meet in the main car park at The Haining. Please wear sturdy shoes and suitable clothing for the weather.
