Healthy Oceans Healthy Minds is back for 2023 to connect people to our incredible blue spaces.
Through the Healthy Oceans Healthy Minds 2023 campaign we are delighted to offer an in person Marine Litter talk in the fantastic location of Window on Wildlife.
Experts will give you personal insights into experiences of marine litter, wildlife & biodiversity with a focus on blue space protection.
Speakers include;
- Joshua Clarke: Josh is a conservation officer for Buglife in Northern Ireland, who found interest in invertebrates while growing up in urban Belfast. He has experience ranging from solitary bees to invasive species, and aims to share the biodiversity in local area. His talk will focus on the invertebrate biodiversity of habitats along coast and freshwater, the challenges they face, with case studies to highlight species of conservation concern. Finally, a chance to consider how to get involved!
- Aileen McClenaghan: Aileen is an Environment Tutor, CPWF UK volunteer and an avid beach-comber. Through social media and workshops, Aileen aims to connect people with the sea and advocates for the protection of marine life and blue spaces. Aileen will give us some insight into her beach-finds and how simple measures can make a difference.
