Sustainable Kirriemuir and Potato House bring you Kirriemuir Tattie Day 2023!
What is Tattie Day?
An opportunity to celebrate the humble tattie. Pick up your seed tatties from the experts at Potato House (Skea Organics), who offer specialty, heritage, and organic seed tatties and eaters. Over thirty varieties will be available on the day.
Why do we want to celebrate local food and growing?
We are passionate about all aspects of local food, whether locally grown, processed locally, or sold through local shops and markets. We want to build a more accessible and resilient food system where communities can come together to grow and eat more local food and celebrate the seasons. Our actions can make a big difference. As consumers, we can reduce the emissions and wider environmental costs related to our food by supporting local producers.
Meet the Experts
Do you have a question about how to grow potatoes, which variety to choose, or any pest and disease issues? If so, then Tattie Day is the place to be! Experts John M Marshall and Andrew Skea will be on hand to answer your tattie related questions.
