Ashleigh Whiffin from National Museums Scotland will be introducing us to the wonderful world of beetles. She’ll begin with a general introduction to beetles, before moving on to looking at the more common beetle families you are likely to encounter in Scotland. She’ll also be introducing us to the work she does at the National Museum of Scotland as Assistant Curator of Entomology and organiser of the Silphidae Recording Scheme. You’ll have an opportunity to ask any questions relating to beetles and beetle identification, including sharing pictures for ID assistance.
