Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust are hosting a FREE talk on “Biodiversity of the Causeway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty” in partnership with Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s Biodiversity Officer, Lisa, and Buglife NI’s, Joshua.
Thursday 15th February 2024 in Portballintrae Village Hall from 11:00am-1:00pm.
Lisa will provide you with a whistlestop tour of the Biodiversity of the Borough covering the wild to the garden, from crisis to solution.
Joshua will then provide us with an overview of biodiversity loss globally due to habitat loss, agricultural intensification, and invasive non-native species that cause negative ecological impacts. He will discuss the conditions of our fragile coastal habitats, the threatened invertebrates they support, and what we can do to help biodiversity in our area.
