Join Buglife, Newport City Council, and the Friends of the Road to Nature at the Road to Nature in a guided walk and recording session around woods, scrub, green and meadow to discover the amazing range of nature that can be found there.
The day will start by inspecting our moth traps that were set the night before, and will be followed by tea and biscuits at our refreshment tent. the day will then continue on various excursions throughout the site led by Buglife and supported by different species specialists including mammals, birds, reptiles and insects.

Refreshments will be available throughout, participants can join for as long as little as you like. A basic level of fitness and mobility is needed to access the site, otherwise, the event is open to people of all ages and abilities to attend.

Car parking can be found at the roundabout south of the A48 where it joins with Church Lane, the exact meeting point can be found using the what three words app and finding the location “upon. specifies. Routine” the meeting point will be approx. 300m south through the green gate and down the old road.
